We've got you covered! Protecting students and safeguarding their (and your) privacy is one of our biggest priorities. Stemming from this, Readlee is a Student Privacy Pledge signatory and has taken extra precaution to protect data (you can see our full privacy policy here).
Advanced Student Privacy Feature
Knowing that some schools don't allow for identifiable student information to be collected, we've generated an advanced privacy feature that allows you to adhere to your school policy.
By toggling off the student name and email collection, you turn off the ability to collect student names (and/or emails) in the sign-up flow, so that, in turn, Readlee never collects that data. If the email and name collection are turned off, then a student will be provided a randomized user name to login with. In this case, we recommend a system where you pair student usernames with a unique identifier to be able to properly track their data.
Unless your school requires it, we recommend you keep these buttons toggled on to allow for streamlined progress monitoring for your students. The status of these buttons does not affect our commitment to protecting student privacy; we are committed to protecting their data regardless of the button status.
